Requirements for Mechanical Seals Mechanical seals are generally divided into two parts: liquid seals (analysed in this issue) and gas seals (i.e., dry gas seals, which will be specifically summarised and shared later) Liquid seals are mechanical seals specifically designed to seal liquids.
